ABOUT US
With his interest in writing and performing rock/metal music, Starks Daemon is a renowned name in Africa metal. Hailing from Botswana, Africa, he has been Wrust front man for over 23 years, an international band that has shared stage with international acts such as Sepultura, Carcass, Entombed, Konkhra, both locally and internationally. He is song writer, rock/metal vocalist, guitarist and producer.
Towards the end to 2023, Starks Daemon took a decision to focus on his brand as a solo artist, this came as a result of multiple line-up changes within the Wrust camp. Starks took some of the songs he had written for Wrust’s next album and started re-writing them, introducing melodic vocals to the brutal guitar riffs, emphasizing more on the grooves and easy to follow rhythm sections. Starks started by re-recording the first ever Wrust ballad song “Too Deep” adding more color by introducing more leads under tones on the verses. Next was recording of the tittle track on the EP “Unchain”.
Unchain was released online on the 3rd of March 2024 and hit the number one spot on the African Metal charts for 4 weeks.
